Currently faculty at Austin Peay State University

Her work focuses on teaching pre-service and job-embedded educators in instructional design, models of teaching, classroom management strategies and foundations of education coursework. She previously served at Northwestern University as Director of Social Justice Education and Adjunct Instructor in the School of Education & Social Policy. Also, at Miami University as Associate Director of Intercultural Initiatives.

Dr. Dev’s research examines Black feminist pedagogies and intergenerational joy

With over 15 years of experience working within k-12 and higher education, she’s a learner, teacher educator, consultant, womanist, and passionate pursuer of educational equity. Dr. Dev is committed to working  with diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice initiatives in and throughout education and businesses because she believes all spaces are opportunities for learning. Her work intentionally places her alongside others as they learn how to envision a more equitable world with purposeful joy in mind.
